About the Roles
Smooth Media produces standout brand experiences and cultural moments. Our events team builds everything from intimate activations to large-scale productions. We're growing our freelance bench of trusted producers we can call on for upcoming projects.
Event Producer / Manager — Own event production end-to-end: scoping, budgeting, vendor management, and on-site execution.
Production Partner — Execute the production plan on-site across AV, rigging, carpentry, or fabrication — setup, operation, and strike.
On-Site Staff — Represent the brand on-site through check-in, ushering, VIP management, or coordination.
Creative / Content — Capture or create content per the shoot brief, with fast turnaround for social.
Florist (Vendor Partner) — Partner with us on florals and installs, from intimate arrangements to large-scale builds.
Caterer (Vendor Partner) — Bring your menu or concept to our events, from full-service catering to specialty diets.
Event Producer / Manager — 4+ years producing branded events, strong budget management, and a reliable vendor network.
Production Partner — Experience on branded events or productions, comfort with long physical days, union status noted, certifications a plus.
On-Site Staff — Prior hospitality or events experience, strong communication, and reliability through long shifts.
Creative / Content — A relevant portfolio, your own gear, and quick-turnaround delivery experience.
Florist (Vendor Partner) — A distinctive portfolio, ability to scale, proper licensing/insurance, and flexibility on custom briefs.
Caterer (Vendor Partner) — A strong culinary point of view, scale execution, health/licensing certs, and flexibility on custom menus.
Project-based work across our events calendar — event production, on-site crew, creative content, and vendor partnerships. Engagement is 1099, day-rate or per-project depending on role. We keep a working relationship with our freelance bench and vendor list, reaching out first when new projects match your skills, scale, and availability.
